These Pro Players Want the Same Surprising Smash Character Next

Some of the best pro Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players from all over the world came together for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Challenge Cup at Nintendo Live in Kyoto, Japan. There, IGN was able to ask both The Dream Team and Team Europe what character they want to see next in Smash Bros. Ultimate, and we received some surprising answers.

Nairo, Light, and Mr.R⁠—three of the seven pro players we interviewed⁠—all said they want a character from the Tales series represented in Smash, specifically, Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia. Originally for the GameCube, Tales of Symphonia was the fifth of Bandai Namco’s Tales series and released in Japan in 2003 and North America in 2004.
